Scuderia Corsa Secures Pole Position for Petit Le Mans

-Daniel Serra, No. 63 Ferrari 488 GT3 to Lead the GTD Field

BRASELTON, Georgia (October 12, 2018) - Looking to finish their 2018 season on a high, Daniel Serra and the No. 63 WeatherTech Racing Ferrari 488 GT3 would set a blistering pace en route to scoring pole position for tomorrow's Petit Le Mans. Serving as the finale of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, tomorrow's 10-hour event will be bolstered by Serra and co-drivers Cooper MacNeil and Gunnar Jeannette leading the GT-Daytona (GTD field).

Known as an iconic endurance race, Serra's fastest lap time of 1:19.695 would prove less than four-hundredths of a second quicker than his nearest competitor, showing just how competitive the field is for tomorrow's classic.

Teammate Matteo Cressoni in the No. 64 entry would also enjoy a strong run, starting tomorrow's race from the fourth row in class.

"This is one of the best tracks, I really enjoy driving here," stated Serra. "I'm really happy to be back with the team. This is a track you need to be confident with the car, if you mistake one mistake you are out. The Ferrari works really well at almost all tracks, the driver just has to do a good job."

The race will take place tomorrow, with live coverage can at 10:30AM ET via FOX Sports 1, switching to FOX Sports 2 at 12PM until the race's conclusion at 9:30PM. Continuous coverage can be found on the FOX Sports GO app for viewers in the US, or via for international viewers.
