Scuderia Corsa Scores Third Place Finish At 24 Hours of Le Mans And Ferrari Challenge Podium

June 18, 2019

Scuderia Corsa finished third at the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans marking its fourth podium finish in four appearances at the legendary endurance race as well as a podium finish in the Ferrari Challenge Europe.

On the 70th anniversary of Ferrari’s first win at Le Mans, Scuderia Corsa grabbed the final spot on the GTE-AM podium adding to the teams Le Mans heritage – which includes winning the 2016 race and podium finishes in 2015 and 2017- due to a post-race penalty received by the initial winning team.

WeatherTech Racing Driver Cooper MacNeil, Ferrari Factory Driver Toni Vilander and endurance driver Robert Smith stayed fast and steady to push the No. 62 to the finish after gaining nine positions over the 24-hour competition.

Scuderia Corsa began the weekend by earning a second-place finish in Coppa Shell Am with Mark Fuller. Thomas Tippl, Chris Carel, Eric Marston and Lisa Clark all enjoyed the heritage and the opportunity to race at such a legendary circuit, as well as the opportunity to experience the acclaimed Parade of Drivers in the streets of downtown Le Mans before the race weekend.

Congratulations to the entire Scuderia Corsa team!
